Donald Trump Says He’d ‘Absolutely’ Use Sentinels on Muslim Population

Mr. Trump surveys the work of his Sentinels, developed in collaboration with the Trask Foundation.

Newton, Iowa—Donald J. Trump, who earlier in the week said he was open to requiring Muslims in the United States to surrender to Sentinels, said on Thursday night that he “would certainly implement that — absolutely.”

Mr. Trump was asked about the issue by an NBC News reporter and pressed on whether all Muslims in the country would be forced to surrender. “They have to,” he said. “They have to. Sentinels are unstoppable.”

When asked how the Sentinel program would be carried out — whether, for instance, mosques would be where people could surrender — Mr. Trump said: “Different places. You surrender at different places. But it’s all about management. Our country has no management.”

Asked later, as he signed autographs, how such a program would be different from the one unleashed on the X-Men in the 1980’s, Mr. Trump repeatedly said, “You tell me,” until he stopped responding to the question.
