I’ve wanted to get more involved with the community and with writing.  One of my friend’s works with Studio STL, and it seems to be exactly what I’m looking for.  When I was at Hope College, some poets came to our Advanced Poetry workshop, taught by Jack Ridl, and talked about getting kids involved in writing.  It breathed life into them.  The poets found it rewarding, and the students did too.  That day of class has stayed with me for nine years.  I’m looking forward to working with Studio STL, in the hopes that it will be a similar experience.
