Assignment One: Photograph your favorite book in your favorite reading spot.

Guiding Us To You is a multi-media collaboration displayed here in this online gallery. We hope and request that you will contribute your artwork, writing, and thoughts to this project. Biweekly, we will post assignments with instructions. We encourage participants of all ages and locations—this means you!—to complete the tasks. The nature of the assignments will range from photographs to writings. Our hope is that Guiding Us To You will allow participants to become part of a collaborative, literary, and artistic community.

This project is inspired by Miranda July and Harrell Fletcher’s website Learning To Love You More. The intent of these collaborative websites is to “like a recipe, meditation practice, or familiar song . . . guide people towards their own experience.”

Guiding Us to You is the second project sponsored by the Hendrix-Murphy Foundation and part of the Murphy Keep. If you’d like to participate, check out the first assignment and how to submit.
