Pew Internet: Younger Americans’ Library Habits and Expectations

Yesterday, the Pew Internet and American Life Project published a report, “Younger Americans’ Library Habits and Expectations.” To summarize, 16-29 year-olds love libraries and use them more than older age groups. In looking at the age group though, one wonders if the increase in use is also tied to the higher unemployment rate of that demographic? While the data offer a snapshot of teenagers and young adults from 2012, how do libraries maintain interest from this demographic as the group ages?
