If you’re a writer, check out Dreams with Sharp Teeth.  I don’t care if you don’t like science fiction, or you’re wrapped up in your own genre of literary fiction.  Ellison is a no nonsense, tough as hell writer.  It could be I’ve read some of his stuff before as a teenager (when I pulled random books down from the library shelves), but either way, I plan on reading more of his work.  Ellison is thoughtful and will inspire, shock, and make you laugh.
