Three Minute Fiction: Round Four

For this round of Three Minute Fiction, Ann Patchett, the author of Bel Canto and the Patron Saint of Liars is judging the competition.  Last time, writers had to base their story off of a photo.  In this round the word limit is compressed to 600 words, and writers must use the following words: plant, button, trick, fly.  After the contest I’ll share my piece here, and if you’d like to share your piece as well, let me know.  So, what are you waiting for?  Start writing!
