It happens so often there is finally a book about it. A human child is born from an egg in a nest of ravens. It’s so commonplace, most of us ignore it. In Rosie the Raven, Helga Bansch takes up this story and shines a light on one girl’s experience.
An interesting mix of paint and collage. There are images with pieces of text cut out on them. They look like parts from old maps or brochures. It’s really cool.
Reasons to Love
It’s a fun story with a kind message. Be who you are and your parents (will? should?) except you. So, if you’re more human than raven, that’s okay. Your parents will love you.
It’s a fun children’s book. Consider adding it to your collection or checking it out from your public library.
