Tom Huck’s show, Brutal Truths, which opened last night and will run through April 17th is an invitation to the bizarre, dark, and humorous. The show features both prints and carved woodblocks. Each print is full of detail, motion, and metaphor. A few prints on display would be enough as something new is sure to jump out with each viewing. At times though, due to the number of prints on display and the nature of Huck’s work, the show creates an overwhelming feeling. Intricate and unforgettable, prints like “All Aboard the Scary Go Round” are sure to inspire the imagination or hint at nightmares about to unfold.
